I would also check out other discussion thread around this topic.

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-sold-36k.html

It seems that 993w/TIP<8k compared to 993w/manual has been pretty consistent.

So what wheels would this car have come with?

Does it have PSS9s? I seem to remember seeing a car exactly like this one for sale a few months back at the same price. Probably the same car. If you want a Tip, the car looks decent but may be priced just a bit strong. Make sure a Tip is what you want, proceed with a thorough PPI, and if everything checks out, offer 34K.

I actually like the way the 17" Cup IIs look on a widebody but there are LOTS of alternatives.

At $39K it's overpriced by about $6K, possibly more.

Tiptronic cars don't tend to be as abused as manual transmission models often do so thats in your favor.
also more likely to have SAI port clogging though due to the lower revving shift program, no?

17" wheels were were the stock wheels but most owners checked the option box for the 18" twist or the turbo hollow spoke twists like the ones on my avatar.

I'd agree the price is a little high given the miles, but if it's the car you are looking for go for it and make an offer. Also ask the current owner how much oil it's using, that is a good indication of valve guide health that may be hard to identify during a PPI.
That was my understanding on the wheels, also. The C4S had 18" turbo look wheels and big reds, the S had 17" wheels and regular black Carrera brakes as standard equip.

The owner had a PPI done just 2 months ago and the car passed with flying colors. However, I want to do my own at another dealer including a leak-down.

I've placed my offer with the seller (pending PPI results) and he'll think about it on his holiday. The bummer being when he get's back I leave for my holiday back to Canada. So...let's see what happens!

Your own independent PPI is a must. Don't worry about timing as there are "lots of other fish in the sea".

I looked for six months, and I had a PPI done on three. Purchased the last one.

If this deal falls through, though disappointing, other doors open.

Best of luck!

Re: Other fish in the sea...

Did you see the two 993 Carrera S's sitting at London Motorcars in Vancouver? Ones a black 993 with nice wheels and the other a Glacier White with 30,000kms...both Canadian cars. Dealership is asking $60k Cdn for each of them...
