Here is the link Black. Subs included if you want that kind of thing. Price seems high, but they are hard to find.

I think a fair/good price would be around $375-$450.00 without the holes. The holes are not hard to repair, but it does make this RSD worth less $$ IMHO. Original condition is worth more money. Not everyone wants subs.

For that kind of money, I'll hold on to mine. I'll consider selling if and when these things command crazy dollars like sport seats.

Sport seats, I don't think anyone is going to make them, but for the $$, you are usually better off getting real hardback FIA seats for less $$.
I know, so says the guy with 2 993's both with sports seats.

IMHO the only issue with the RSD is they delete(which they are designed to do) the rear seats and alot of people like the seats for their kids. If you have a coupe the seats in the rear fold down in a cab like I have the rear seats are stationary. The RSD is nice to stow away items in the doors and it also provides a shelf to throw a gym bag or duffle bag on. They may increase in price, but I would doubt anything along the line of the sport seats % wise. Just my opinion YMMV.

That's cool. I understand that these will probably never go up greatly in value. I still have mine installed but was considering removing it for weight savings at the track. I'll hold onto it for the next owner as I plan to move to a 996TT next year. My car was originally equipped with sports seats and those were already "stolen" by a previous owner. I'd like to be able to maintain a majority of the options my car was delivered with for the next guy.

I paid $500 (with shipping) from a shop that was getting rid of one in 2007.
Mine came in Classic Grey and I found in the 2 years that I searched for one:
(before bots to search all Craigslist were written - sidetrack: can anyone recommend one of those search engines???)

- There is a difference between the 964 versions and the later 993 versions (mounting hardware/method iirc)
- There is a difference between the coupe and the cab versions (top shape along the sides)
- They will all fit all 993, obviously make and type specific fit best together
- Mounting hardware was still available through Sunset in 2007
- Black is the most common, followed by Cashmere, Classic Grey is VERY rare
- The cab versions have an additional mechanism that appears to pass a bolt into each door, therefore locking it.
Some come with more complete/intact parts.
No one, to the best of my recollection has ever found the exact parts diagram for the full mechanism, or where it hooks to power or the fob signal relay. Anyone know how to contact a Porsche assembly worker who would have hooked that part in?
One Rennlister claimed he had a solution to the source for triggering, and a wiring diagram to attach between the source and the mechanism.... no followup
(and our lovely new search engine is making it really hard for me to find the original thread to find his "name" to contact)
No Rennlister, as of yet, who has an OEM RSD with a working locking mechanism has ever volunteered to take their car apart so we can all find out! - "Molested" tops are pretty common, usually cut for speakers, but the easiest repair [ see Arena993's recent excellent DIY]
There are some that have been hacked up a lot more, so caveat emptor!
