Default Question on bilstein's

So i'm ready to lower my new to me C2S and I have noticed that many are using the bilstein/H&R spring option. Tire rack as the parts available but while I was visiting the Carnewal site I noticed that there is a package with different bilstein shock. It seams that the fronts are adjustable. Shocks are still named "HD"

I'm not looking to lower too much and was wondering if there is other differences and/or advantages to the Carnewal package? If there is not i'll most likely go the tirerack route since they'll come in a lot quicker.

Thanks for the help

Got mine from Tirerack. I am not sure they produce the Pss9s anymore. They are a few dollars cheaper. I got the Pss10s. Both front and rear are adjustable and it makes it really easy if you ever want to take your car to the track.

Go with the 10s. You won't regret it.

I can't answer your question but with the crappy exchange rate you might want to shop in Canada. I can give you contact info if you are interested. Otherwise it might be beneficial to buy from Steve Weiner or Viper Bob for the tech help. I'm kind of wishing I had even with the extra few $$$ as I've run into some snags.

My understanding is that the latest Bilstein front HD's sold here give a larger range of car height adjustment. The length of the threaded section on the shock used for height adjustment has been increased. The older version did not give sufficient lowering capablility for some. I'm not sure how you distinguish one version from the other. Maybe someone knows this.

Apparently the rear Bilstein HD's have always had sufficient adjustment range.

I have a set of H&R springs sitting in my basement, if you want them let me know. Just get the shocks from one of our local vendors, they got'em in stock, & will be helping the community, rather then paying TR.

For tires, you can beat TR, but for other things, it's nice to have some one to talk to who knows the product application for your car!
