I have a set of Supercups on the way...

If I lose my hearing, if my head explodes from the drone, or my neighbors start leaving bags of **** on my doorstep - I may be a candidate for state III's...

If I didn't have unbaffled first generation Superrcups I would be all over the IIIs. If I can't set off others car alarms I am not happy. But remember, I came from a loud Harley motorcycle!

Tom
Tom, you know how you can get IIs to sound aggressive when you want them too. Well, IIIs are a little more aggressive and a little louder all of the time. Still not bad in the cabin. I love them on my coupe. I would like to hear them in a cab (since you get a bit more noise inside).

No problem. get those babies on, will ya!

As far as the sound level in the car, the Stage 2s are really not that much different from the OEM. I'll bet the Stage 3s are very similar to the Stage 2s inside the cockpit.
Bob-
I still have the set we discussed, Bob.....wait....what's that....oh look, they've got your name written on the side
Stage IIIs are more noticable in the cabin then IIs, but still nowhere even close to being annoying. I like how Roche put it....."intoxicating".

Meow. I have stock mufflers, but I think there is a video clip of LPMMs with DACH sport cats on youtube.

My girlfriend listened to the youtube links last night and said get the III's.

She did say it would have been cool to hear the III's in a garage setting, for comparrison purposes, like the II's.

regarding the in-cabin levels of the stage IIIs.......

i took my dad with me last saturday to a 356 restoration shop open house about 100 miles away. he's heard my car bunches of times as i leave his house but he's hasn't had a ride since i installed the stage IIIs. he was amazed at the OEM-like sound from inside. we could talk normal-with the radio on at highway speeds (sometimes a little more)-without difficulty. he said i have the best of both worlds...kick ***, hide your children @ WOT on the outside and a non-distracting easy to live with, slightly louder than stock sound on the inside.

She sounds like a great lady!
When I shot the video with the Stage IIs, my shop was not built yet. Also, had not found our "test track" that we now use for drive-by videos.

FWIW, I have a cab and recently installed II's and it sounds perfect, not to loud and not too soft. I live in a residential area where you could hear a pin drop, so I decided on the II's. No regrets..

Thanks Darin!

I just installed my IIs this past weekend. I love them on my cab. I did step up from RSRs to the IIs and was afraid they would be too much,....not at all.

I kinda wish there was a stage 2.5 available. Thanks Darin

How would you compare the RSRs to Stage IIs?
