Jim,

Great recollections. I just looked at my receipt last night and indeed I bought the fog light/brake duct (upper piece) and grill insert (lower piece) from CEC at the same time. Mystery solved.

BTW, them parts ain't cheap.

It was not broken out. The entire bill was $904.20 before tax and shipping. That was June 2005.

Tell me it ain't so!

I've seen this car in person and driven it and it is unbelievable. If there was ANYWAY I could buy this car, I would not hesitate.

Best of luck CP.

Anyone "on the fence" in CA about a car purchase might want to think about pulling the trigger sooner rather than later. In three weeks the California sales tax goes up one percent.

Dan,

I think you should buy it... RUF is in your back yard! And give your C2 to Brian!

I actually have been entertaining thoughts of a turbo, but I definitely can't keep two p-cars. Bryan will have to buy his own Porsche or wait to inherit it. As much as I love Pong's car, I think I would prefer to have a TT -IF I were to get one.

$10 per thousand will likely be quickly negotiated if you're going through a dealer. Private transaction? Who comes that clean when you're at the window at DMV?

Hi Pong, I should have asked for a package deal. Kitchen + Ruf for how much??

Seriously, good luck with the sale. I will also vouch for Pong in terms of honesty, integrity and all around nice guy. Pong and I hooked up a few months ago to help us with our kitchen re-design. I would highly recommend anyone in the Bay Area who needs architectural work to give Pong a buzz. Not only did he help us design a beautiful layout (we break ground next week), but he also has great connections with contractors etc... Seriously, we are doing a gourmet kitchen for ~50% cheaper than some competitive solutions!

Maybe I should funnel the $$ for the kitchen remodel and get the Ruf instead! "Honey, you really don't want that kitchen, do you"??

Oleg,

Thanks for the kind words. If I were you, I'd do the kitchen instead. I want to keep Sandy on my good side.

Please let me know when the field crew gathers. I will do what I can to help them start on the right food (sp? ).

Hey Pong, that's a bad news!
Times are hard, but it's may be not the worst moment to put it for sale. When the crisis will end, fuel price will rise up to the sky, and nobody will dream of our cars anymore..
If you come once to Europe, be my guest for a "Norschleiffe expedition" or whatever you'll want to see that day. It will be my pleasure to drive you around in my 4S.
Good luck with your sale

Pong,

First of all....WOW! I really can't imagine you without that INCREDIBLE automobile....just can't. I DO hope some Rennlister purchases it.
Just curious...as I am considering the Euro front end upgrade with the Techarts. Did you duct all the way back to the brakes? Thanks.
