Good luck with the sale. It will be interesting to see if you can find that right buyer who appreciates the modifications (and their cost). At least you have an alternative to sell off the mods if the price is too high. For example, you could swap transmissions with someone else, pocket a bunch of money even after the labour to swap, and likely get close to the same price for the car....

Cheers,

Mike

First of all....GL with your sale. I think you are overly optimistic in your asking price tho. Don't take me wrong...I hope you get it based on pricing lately and the current economic state....ugh...

My experience is pretty limited with 993s but I have lots of experience selling vehicles with aftermarket parts (mostly motorcycles)...If you take the part off you can usually get about 50-75% back on your investment...on the vehical virtually no added value IMHO. Read in Transmission/EVO seats...

That said many of us will have interest in your transmission. What gearing did you go with?

The tranny/LWFW is is got to be the best mod you can do to this car...if I only had a spare $12k

Good luck with your sale and the completion of your beautiful home. My parents just finished building their home after two years...and even being the second time around, it was both stressful and time consuming. Here's to a smooth completion. Cheers.

Yes, i agree about the tranny. Hey, I would make a deal with you and do the swap while you watched, but we are on the opposite sides of the continent! :-)

The price is a starting point at the moment and is, more than likely, optomistic. We've all seen the cars with 'over 75K' invested going for half that. I take some solice that when I do get back in, there will be a similar good deal waiting for me on a track car. We all know that when we start to molest the car we don't get much more than 50 cents back on the dollar and, in all likelyhood, reduce the buying pool.

In my case I may sell off the extras and look to do a tranny swap if the car doesn't sell as a complete package but it will be much more work although probably more profitable.

Jamie, if you want to swap tranny, drop me an email. Good luck/too bad about the sale. Good luck with the house.

you should sell the house and keep the Porsche... the porsche might be worth more in 10 years.
