Went to start the 'old girl' this morning, flat battery. Uh! Lights were not left on, however I did notice a fan was running in the engine when I parked up after a long run the evening before. I assumed its would switch off - Clearly not.. Odd

My 95 did pretty much the same thing a little over a year ago. I had driven the car home from the shop after suspension install and parked it in the garage. Half an hour later I went back to the garage and heard the fan whirring away. Here's where it gets strange; I covered up the blower motor intake with my hand and it stopped. Remove hand and it started up again. It was a cold evening, close to freezing, and the shop had just washed the car before I picked it up. It eventually stopped (before draining the battery) but I never did figure this one out.

There is a temp sensor in the rear blower fan...in the outlet pipe IIRC...check the sensor for proper operation.
Mine comes on on hot Summer days when I park and the oil temp is roughly 220F (about 9 o'clock). Cycles on and off for maybe ten minutes or so.

part number 96461655002.
If this resistor is malfunctioning, the fan stays on. $15 ish
To further pinpoint, plug a charged battery now and if the engine electric cooling fan runs, it is definitely the problem, regards
