While surfing Gert's site I came upon his 993 Pedal set sale:
http://www.carnewal.com/

"Carnewal Sport Pedals

These pedals are made in Germany and no Chinese knock-offs.

The set you posted looks quite a bit different than the 993 set at this URL on Gert's site:

http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p93112_l.htm

This is the page that's linked directly from the 993 pedal set page. I wonder which one you actually get if you order now?

EDIT: OK, I see that the set you posted is the P96/86 pedal set. Do those fit correctly in a 993?

OOPS! I corrected my mistake by inserting the proper set photo.
The 993 are specifically manufactured for the 993.
Again, I apologize for posting the wrong photo.
Its been three months since I put the 993 in hibernation.

I like the looks of the pedal set for the 996 better. The set for the 993 look really "blockey"

air eater, can you show a pic of these installed in your 993?

TIA

Bob,
I don't think the 996 set would fit in a 993, but you could e-mail gert with that question.
The photo were taken shortly after I installed them.

Bob, how difficult was the install? This is something I might tackle in the near future.

That's the other set I've been considering, but I heard they can be difficult to install. Any truth to that?

All pedal sets are a little bit of a pain. Drilling the holes is the hardest part, the metal is HARD & you need a good drill bit. It took me about 1.5hrs to install everything. I even played with pedal adjustments for better heal & toe.

Easy.
The key is to have a sharp drill bit and get the pedals properly aligned before drilling.
It only took me about an 1.5 hours from start to finish.

OK, sounds like even this hesitant DIYer might be able to pull off the install

Use new drill bits and a punch or vise and you should not have any problems
