Spring experts needed...
Looking at a set of H & R lowering springs for my car, but here is my dilemma.
My car has the MO30 option with height adjustable front struts. According to PET, my suspension and the turbo suspension is the same. H & R has Sport lowering springs for the C2 and C4 but not the turbo.
Am I out of luck??

Actually, the stock suspension seems to be in great shape. For the moment, I just want to drop the car a couple of inches. The PSS10s will have to wait until I can get some funds together.

You are not out of luck,.......
H&R has an exclusive agreement on that products (993TT sport springs) and they are available from Performance Products or any dealer that buys from them.
No worries,...

So if I understand correctly, I can get springs, however, the regular C2 springs will not work since I have MO30...
Steve, I see that you guys carry lowering springs as well. Can I get some more information on yours?
Thanks,
Albert

The H&Rs will work with your car, including w/ your M030 suspension (is it M030 shocks and springs or just springs? just curious, will not affect whether H&Rs fit.). The M030 struts are adjustable on the order of 1/4" or so, just for purposes of corner balancing, not for adjusting height. See p-car.com, the suspension FAQ for additional info.

Regular C2 springs won't lower the car much at all but they do fit.
I do have several options, just give me a call during the day and we can go over everything.

Why do you think that your 95 C2, M030 or otherwise, has the same suspension as the turbo? And why are smart folks like Steve W. glossing over that assumption? Am I missing something?
I don't believe that M030 for the C2 = turbo suspension. The front springs are the same but the rears are different as the turbos are a bit stiffer to compensate for a few more pounds in the rear. Unless you are trying to achieve something by going stiffer in rear on your C2, stick with products intended for the C2 not the TT.

I think that because in PET the MO30 and turbo suspension pieces are all the same (except for the rear springs). I suppose I should have been more specific in my original post and excluded the rear springs for I seem to have hit a nerve with you... I'm just here trying to learn.

It looks like I may have sounded a bit course but that was not the intent, I appologize. I just don't want to see you led down a path where you are convinced by others that you need to pursue TT springs as you may end up with a harsher ride than you desire , especially if your goal is merely to lower on stock shocks. H&R springs intended for the C2 models should be what you are targeting but coupling them with Bilstein HDs will give you maximum flexibility in the ride height department. I have seen Techart springs on stock M030 shocks and the ride height looked nice. Don't know about ride but I can get that information later this week.

FWIW,...Many people install the Turbo rear springs to reduce understeer however this is not for a novice driver,...

One thing I noted during the installation process, with rear perches within 3 threads of being bottomed out, RoW sport height is the lowest I could go in the rear. This was my intent anyway but if one is looking for anything lower our NB cars just don't have the weight to make turbo rear springs sag enough. My theory in steering the OP away from anything intended for a turbo on stock shocks, aside from a rougher ride, is that they might actually raise the ride height or at least keep it the same if the springs are shorter.
