just razor blade scrape it off - once the cable is disconnected from the unit, you can pull it out

I've got the window sticker at home. I'll try and look at it for this info.

The option code for the cell phone was S6 mine is listed as S6B Cellular Phone-Black Console

M694 is a strange code because all of the M codes I have ever seen were for floor mats and they would look like this

M6A Black floor mat
M6E Space grey mat
M6F Metropol blue mat
M6H Natural brown mat
M6J Nephrite green mat
M6K Natural grey mat
M6M Boxster red mat
M6P Graphite grey mat
M6S Savanna beige mat

It would be interesting to see how much that phone option was though.

There has been quite a bit of discussion over the years about the bat phone. Search is your friend.

I plan in the future to remove the insert and replace it with a custom one that can house a 7" nav/stereo unit along with the stock switches. I will retain the original so that I can always go back to stock if I wanted.

So I am curious at how many out there have the batphone option like my car has? Has anyone else tried to do what I am thinking of doing?
I gave up on the Double Din Stereo/NAV unit for reasons that become obvious when you read the thread that Bruce posted the link to above. I was still considering a lower profile Garmin w/bluetooth and MP3 capabilities, but it has taken a back seat for now. Definitely post up if you figure out something that works. GL

Default Bat Phone

Doug,

Thanks for the list price of the phone. Very helpful!

Geets,

You are correct, I checked my car's invoice and the option code for the bat phone is S6B.

Anyone know what option 694 is in a 993 coupe? It's on the factory option code label but I can't reconcile it to the invoice listing the options & codes.

Thanks,

Steve

That's one expensive phone!! Do you think I can sell it and get hardback seats?
Anyone out there want to trade my phone for your black hardback seats?

Default CDR-24

Geets,

Thanks for the option code list.

It appears option code 694 is related to the radio, however CDR-24 appears to be a new unit in Caymans and perhaps other models. Just curious, where did you get that option list. It has more radio codes than the ones I have seen.

No problem glad to help. Click on my name and send me an email. I will send you an excel spreadsheet that I compiled when I came across the option codes. It also includes other things as well.
