Have you used the Weltmeister forward rod (the one with the Heim jpints)? I had one, but the joints were so stiff. I tried to loosen the up but couldn't do it. Shifting was a real pain. I went back to the stock rod. I did add the RS coupler and that is sweet. My short shift lever came from another kit. All together, various parts from three shift kits went into mine.

For steering on our race cars we use 3/4" Apex joints. I have the 5/8" version. I can make you a screaming deal on them

RS Rod Mod. Update
I have a B & M shortshift kit for the 993 installed and I wanted to get your modified RS short shift rod (an OEM RS SS Rod is about $360.00 @ Sunset Imports with a wait of over 1 week the last time I checked).What is the cost for one of these and how do I get one.
