Jochen-- I finally stopped by Barnes & Noble, just for your GT2. Congratulations on your beautiful beast, racing career, & the feature article. How did you go about getting published? Did they approach you?
I've been waiting to see your interior; page 74 didn't disappoint. I'm guessing you have the radio delete panel. Please reply with pics when able. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to see shots of your customized engine, too.
Another painstaking recreation advertised in the same issue -- 968 Turbo S replica. I look forward to yours getting cover billing next time:
we've got a rather special drive for this Porsche in mind for a future issue
You & Excellence are doing a great job at increasing their roster of Rennlist readers!
P.S. So is GT Purely Porsche: January issue, page 124 "All You Need to Know: Porsche 993 Carrera RS." Good pix, even though it has a radio...
USPS, quick. Canada Post, quick. Border crossing/customs....................
Hey Tim,
That is one of the reasons I stopped subscribing years ago...i was tired of getting issues literally months after they are on the shelves. I now visit the local Chapters, and look over the mag. If its worth buying, I will, but often I will skim it and realize there is nothing new, and save my $$ towards mods....especially with the premium they used to charge for Canadian subscribers.
Have you not noticed that most of the articles are the same stuff over and over? I like technical content, and the Q&A sections had no content. This forum is much better for that.
Mr negative LOL! I'm a bit of a magazine ***** so it's not just a want, it's a NEED! Shouldn't you be under a 993?
Actually, I was. Just finished rebuilding a pedal cluster, Rob is over tomorrow for valve and chain cover gaskets, brake flush, oil change, pain calipers, and who knows what else....I suspect his car wil be on the lift for a while.
