That is odd. I bought mine in '05 when they were just introducing the 993 shifter, after years of only having the Box/996 shifters (patent expiration?).

I did find the following:

I have the two parts 993 RS parts from the factory but my new project 964 is a tip so I will not be using them. They are available, but will have to look up what I paid to get a price or I guess I could take a best offer. Jim

I installed the B&W. Shifting is a lot crisper and not as rubbery feeling. Shortened the throw quite a bit as well.

Got that thing in yet?

Well it might take a couple of days to get the one part machined out and i also wanted to do an RS rod as well but really don't have the cash to blow now. Might do a WTB thread to see if anything surfaces.....

W/o seeing the Weltsheister kit, I presume they want you to grind the weld that holds the front ball stud, tap it out, and insert a new stud/bolt? Or does the hole need to be tapped for threads?

Pics, man. Pics.

it needs to be ground and a 1/2" hole drilled. No pix...too tired and delirious from breathing Xenit and Tarminator all day.

Throw that crosspiece in the mail and I'll bore the hole for you. You'll have it back before the end of the week.

Jim D,

I sent you an email. Interested in buying your short shift kit?
