I am interested in doing this upgrade. I went to pelican and b&m's site both and they only list a shifter kit for 996 and Boxsters. Are they discontinued? Or will these work for the 993?
That is odd. I bought mine in '05 when they were just introducing the 993 shifter, after years of only having the Box/996 shifters (patent expiration?).
I have the two parts 993 RS parts from the factory but my new project 964 is a tip so I will not be using them. They are available, but will have to look up what I paid to get a price or I guess I could take a best offer. Jim jdorociak@gmail.com
I bought a Weltmeister kit that I am going to start on today so I will post details at a later date. It eliminates the 2 ball cups that can fail. Do a search on Weltmeister vs. RS and you can decide.

#45136 for the 993 (not C4) still listed at CDOC's site.
Well it might take a couple of days to get the one part machined out and i also wanted to do an RS rod as well but really don't have the cash to blow now. Might do a WTB thread to see if anything surfaces.....

W/o seeing the Weltsheister kit, I presume they want you to grind the weld that holds the front ball stud, tap it out, and insert a new stud/bolt? Or does the hole need to be tapped for threads?
