Didn't want red but now glad I got it! Too much attention sometimes though and I find myself going out for late night backroad country missions where I don't have ricers messing with me.
I love red, and it is my only choice for a sports car. But if you don't like it now, you likely won't like it later. Buying a used car requires some compromises, but color is a big one.
Guards red was my 4th color choice after ocean, midnight, or iris blue (any dark blue was my first choice), polar silver, and then black. I found this car and it was in such good shape that I decided to go for condition over color. I quickly fell in love with it even though it's a bit cliche, and I don't regret waiting for a different color. I nicknamed it my "Hong Bao" which is Chinese for "red packet" which is a little red envelope with money inside that people give out during Chinese New Year or Christmas if your family celebrates Christmas like mine. Yeah I know, it's a bit cheesy...
Just look at my avatar. People will always talk of a midlife crisis if youre in your 40's, or that it's not yours if youre in your 20's or 30's. Most comments are based on envy. Don't regret the color one bit. They are real eye catchers!!
