Burning Brakes
I have just switched to Haggerty as well. The savings from State Farm were significant - maybe $400/yr to go to an agreed value policy. i have my car at $45k, which is a compromise. It is more than I paid for the car, but less than I would sell it for. My big concern is the blue book prices in the event of a large claim. I knew I would have to struggle with my old provider to get what it is worth.

Yes, I'm curious about this, as well. I'm with State Farm.

My State Farm agent is a great guy and we have a lot of other coverages through him. He assured me that as long as I had good records and reciepts that he was confident that we would not have problems. However, KBB for my car is crazy low, and I do not think he understands the 20K gap between a C4S on the market and KBB. Not to mention that he would likely have little appreciation for the upgrades. 3 spoke carbon fibre SW, CF ebrake and shifter is not going to register much with him - although I have the reciepts for most items, I have many upgraded parts that I do not have the documentation for.
I had a buddy that had his vette stolen and I heard all of the horror stories then. The adjuster wanted to take off because it was a standard transmission - this in spite of the fact that sticker on the vette was higher for standard than automatic! It all came back to market analysis - and he got hosed.
One bright spot for us is the limited population of 993's and the general class of the owners. The value is probably an easier thing to judge with our cars than with a newer vette with much higher ownership numbers and significantly wider spectrum of abused cars, etc.
Still - the agreed value policy means something to me. I hope to never test it out - but I am happy with the savings and the peace of mind.

I have my newly purchased C4S on my State Farm policy. My agent (a great guy) suggested I go with someone who will do the agreed-to-value. I'm thinking of going with Leland-West. Their terms seem okay: PCA member; photos of car; limited annual mileage; locked approved garage (with photos of garage); own an insured daily driver besides the 993; list of mods; no inspection required.
$1496/yr for $500 deductible and $300k liability/uninsured at 5k annual miles. And that's for SoCal.
My State Farm policy is $1320/yr plus I'll now get a small reduction for my other car (multi-car discount.) Leland-West will be more but I will have the agreed value.
Not quite sure what to do yet. But for around $500 more, I'm guessing it's worth it (?)

My Grundy policies do not have a mileage limitation. They do have the other restrictions of L-W and most others...secure garage with pics, other registered DD, etc.
