I polled the group here a couple of weeks ago for their impressions of the independent p-car specialists in the Bay Area. An overwhelming number of people suggested I use RMG in Sunnyvale. I took my 993 there for some service today and I couldn't be more pleased. Bob Grigsby and Co. were simply awesome in every way - courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and took great care of my car. They patiently answered my questions and didn't mind me hanging over them for the few hours that it took to get the work done. I have no first-hand experience with the other local Porsche specialists so I can't draw any comparisons, but I can say that RMG earned my business and my highest recommendation. Thanks to everyone who suggested I use them

+1 for Bob. Took my 97' 993TT for PPI and got invited to stay over to see the entire process. First time in my life. Felt extremely comfortable on how they handled my babe.

+1 . If you want someone to take care of your 9--, RMG is the place. Other shops will just service it, some better than others. Taking care is a whole 'nother level. It's sorta like having the comfort that you back is covered. Really nice folks.

I used Bobby for 25+ years when I lived in the Bay Area. And that's going back to when he was all alone in the "small shop".

The best way that I can describe it is that they take care of your car with the same level of diligence, care and attention to detail that all of us would with our own cars - if we had the knowledge and skill to properly do so (I know that some of you do, but I do not).

The picture below my signature is of my engine being rebuilt by RMG. At the time, I wasn't happy that I had to rebuild my entire engine, but I was happy that I had a shop like RMG handling it.

That Bob and the two Dans are courteous, smart and interesting guys is simply icing on the cake.

I can't wait till my TT is out of warranty so I can take it to Bob. Class act all around.

The best! Can't agree more. I wish I had Bob do my PPI, but at least is the best at fixing what the mechanic who did my PPI didn't see....
