It's hard to hide that kind of miles. You can tell when a car has been driven. A good PPI should be abel to tell you of the miles. He does stats he has the paper work to show the miles.

I agree. With a carfax, maintenance/service records and a good PPI, I think it should be easy to tell if it is a 50Kmile car or a 14K mile car. Nevertheless, the odo issue is still an issue!

Also, has anyone been able to confirm or refute that the odo indeed needs to be changed for a cf dash? I don't think most people on RL will be able to accept that a valid explanation.

Sorry, I've seen quite a few high mileage Porsches (+75,000 miles) that looked like they were sub 20,000 mile cars. Not all of them, mind you, but enough that I marveled at the condition versus the mileage. IMHO, the odometer would be a deal-breaker.

You can also check the engine hours with OBDII, so you could estimate the mileage.

33 bids later, the car sold for $47,000.
A steal IF the mileage is accurate.

The lucky winner made the final and winning bid 6 seconds before the end of the auction. What a great deal "steal" even if the milage is not correct.

Honestly, those exhaust tips look shakey for a car with 14K miles and an owner that Lexol's the seats bi-monthly with the heater running...

I am sure there are a large percentage of buyers that would never touch a TMU car....I never would.
