Will DiGiovanni - owner and Porsche Master Tech, also on the National PCA Tech Committee, holds PCA Tech Sessions annually, does pre-DE tech inspections, provides track side tech support for his customers (DEs and CRs), and is a PCA Club Racer.

I would take it to Shade Tree Garage in Morristown. They are very very detail oriented and stand behind their work. They support our NNJR PCA chapter, run swap meets and do DE Tech inspections. While your car is being looked over, you can visit High Marque in the front of the building and drool over their nice collection of Porsches, Ford GT's, etc... Whose car are you buying, I might know the car.

Ditto on Will from Precision, he's incredibly detail oriented.

 

Just be aware that while Shade Tree is a very competent repair facility, they don't have any Porsche trained techs on staff, or didn't a couple of months ago. John O'Conner, the owner, is a good guy and was a Porsche Tech, but that was almost 30 years ago.

Is High Marques still doing business?

 

High Marques is still doing business. I don't remember the mechanics name but I believe Shade Tree's lead mech. is Porsche trained? Nonetheless, you can't go wrong with Precision.

 

Could be now, but when I rented the space to them last March that wasn't the case.

 

I will agree Will is the man to go to in Central NJ. Nice personable and straight shooter. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy to work on your car.

If you need something further north there are a couple of good shops up this way too.
