Default Mounting Recaro's in a 993

Made some progress on the seat mounts
using;
Recaro SPG XL seats
BK R-9066 side mounts
Recaro flat sliders
RS tunnel side belt mounts

Another question,
all the harware is M8 1.25, I would like to use g12.9 but it is proving difficult to come by, is g10.9 or even 8.8 ok?

Let me know what you need and I can get a quote from Motion Industries. I am sure they can get them in a reasonable time.

How come the seats, sliders, brackets didn't come with everything? More curious than being sarcastic.

Are the side mounts just so that you can adjust the height?

They just don't, the installer(me) needs to come up w/ the hardware. Not only that but the sliders and sidemounts need to be driled in a # of places for a proper install.

The rear height is fixed, the front can be adjusted by using different slots, so it's the angle that is adjustable.

I used 8.8 when I installed my bucket seats and they're fine, that's what Porsche uses.

Bill, what is the part number for that thin headed bolt for the RS tunnel side belt mounts in your first picture? I didn't order one like that when I got mine and now I am guessing I should have.

Thanks!, I found some 12.9 zinc coated at Lowes of all places
M8-1.25x20 allen heads work perfectly for the side to slider mounts x16 is a tad short and x25 too long to allow full slider travel.

When I did my recaros, I used the Brey-krause side mounts that included a belt mount. Only problem was that I needed a shim to tightly secure the seat belt receptacle. I guessing you're putting in
harness receivers instead.

Lowes & Home Depot is always worth the look if they're close by! I usually get stuff from the "allbolts" or what the hell that name is but local hardware store or Home Depot is close and they've rescued me few times.

Another piece of the puzzle, Rennline harness mounts for both the door and tunnel sides. A very impressive product and they supply all the hardware(this may seem like a minor deal but it's not) Kudus!!

Bill,
Please keep updating. When I installed my SRD's and harnesses I made a million adjustments and custom parts and am still not happy. I did not use the Rennline items though. I would like ot be able to easily clip and unclip the harnesses. That means you need factory belts which left with the stock seats. So, I bought another set of rear receivers and mouted them on the tunnel too.
