What type of bolts do your speedlines use? I have been looking for allen heads for my Targa rims but all I could find was torx or 12 points at FVD.

Did you coat the outers or just bare alum?

Nice work Jim...did you ever check out the build style options on the outers?

Cheers.

Word! I was on the fence for one when thinking "track car." Yours reminds me why I consider them so highly ...and the hp/tq certainly doesn't help

The outer rims are highly polished and coated with TSC coating that allows more of the gloss to show instead of a matt finish that clear powder coating shows. Jim

Ryan -- No I did not inquire about specific bends in the outer hoops as you seem to have so much already on your plate I did not think you were ready to move ahead. After reading some of our emails it sounded like if I could not get the bends specifically located in the rim you were not interested in buying new custom sized outer rim halves anyway. So I did nothing.

You are correct about alot on the plate so no it was not an immediate need. I will probably have to get the custom made pieces regardless of the answer...unless you can source a match for the techart you had.

I think that is one of the nicest front engined water cooled Porsches I've ever seen

Really, a cool car and fantastic wheel set.

A word of caution about alignment.
I took off my Aliseos and put on a set of 996 Turbo OEM wheels last Spring. I autocrossed monthly this year, and wasn't paying attention to tire wear and found out that the outer edges were ground right down in the rear. Fronts were fine. Alignment with the Speedlines was fine under the same conditions, so the differences in offset and width make a big difference.

BTW, the Speedlines are 11 lbs heavier per wheel than the Porsche Turbo wheels.

Wow the 951 is stunning Jim! That is one of the nicest cars I have seen. It's such a clean, classic looking 951, well done! The speedline's look perfect.

Makes me reconsider a 951 for the future...WOW....absolutely breath taking..I love a clean but "updated" look...your car pulls it off with finesse!

Congrats.

Those must be the wheels that Jim sent pictures of. He did an outstanding job on mine as well.
