I see some shiny mufflers on the (dirty!) shop floor. Super secret stuff.....hmmm. Must be time for the Tiptronic conversion, re-installation of the 16" wheels, engine tray etc.
Seeing your car's super-clean wheel wells makes mine look like I've been mud dragging!

I didn't know we could jack the front of the car in front of the spare tire wheel. Are you using any type of additional support (a 2x4 of some length) or just using your jack stand, placed so the 'pad' is in front of the spare tire well?
Thanks guys,
chuck

My normal method is to jack under the engine case, then set the rear stands under the proper points. Once the weight of the engine & tranny can pivot over the rear stands, I jack the front exactly how I stated. I do use a 2' length of 2x6 covered with a towel under the extreme front of the spare tire well. It lifts amazingly easy at this point.

Geez... I have the desire for my car and garage to look like those, but even if I had the willpower to make it so, it'd only stay that way for 15 minutes.
