I'm still not sure what to do.

It's not that I want a different color, I'm going to refresh the calipers... in red, yellow again...?

How bout red with yellow lettering? I think that would be outstanding. Great contrast between the two colors, unique, and not over the top.

Hi Delanobe! I biased but I would go for red.
What type of colour will you use? I bought a kit in the US at the beginning of the year, but still didn't use it. It's on the list for this winter

The challenge for me isn't what color to use (I ended up with black with yellow PORSCHE decal to match my black car with yellow numbers), its how to keep the darn things looking good.
Pulling brake pads (as we need to do a few times/year with the track car) makes it tough to keep the brakes looking good.

I am not sure why pulling brake pads would screw up the paint, especially since you typically only see the front face of the calipers anyways? I assume you do not use spyders as well, so is not the work totally on the top side of the caliper.

I do agree though, that heat cycles can make the red paint go orange for instance, which might require a repaint.

I use the G2 two part expoxy paint, no complaints at all.

Cheers,

Mike

I like the contrast with yellow. However, it might be easier to swap for red ones with someone rather than painting. Just a thought...

Oh man, I had a nightmare with the G2 brush on stuff. Wouldn't go that route again. Spray can all the way.

I think he should just do a brake caliper "delete" and be done with it!

I say leave 'em yellow. If you insist on painting them go with Red or Green.

Whats the deal with the G2? I have some that I have yet to use. I've heard a different higher quality brush is a good idea?

thoughts?

Your car isn't then right color, but I've thought that Gulf Blue might look good with the right combo.

Hi Toga,

How are you?
It was nice to meet you last time in Francorchamps.

I didn't bought a paint kit yet because I didn't decide what color to buy.

How come you didn't drive the 993 for so long?

VHT High Temp Paint in Red (exact match) or yellow (a little bright) and dont forget the high gloss clear coat.
