While you have your interior out don't forget to cut the sheet metal on the floor pan under the coin tray for access to the torque tube bolts for the C4. Very neat little access opening from Porsche to access the two top bolts on the torque tube. LOL!

Wish they did the same thing for the clutch slave!

Thanks Andreas. It saves me looking through my subscribed posts. I'm going to yank the tranny out using a 4 post lift on Saturday. I should get some pics of the set-up. I've got a sliding bridge jack and a jacking tray so I hope that there is actually enough room for me to get under the car!

Nothing sexy. I'm going to replace the RMS and clean/lube the tranny splines. It hangs a little on deceleration. When I push the clutch in to downshift the engine rpm doesn't drop right away which makes it hard to pull out of gear. I end up waiting or blipping the throttle which makes it a PIA to drive. The clutch has 70k on it so I might just end up replacing the whole lot. No LWF for me though. If I want a noisy car that stall occasionally I'll finish my Mopar project.

I know the 95's have issues with stalling when equipped with the lwfw. I thought there was a way around that? If you can find a way around it, I highy recommend the LWFW. It's pretty fun.

The noise can be annoying, you just learn not to lug the engine. On my car, I only hear the "rocks in the clothes dryer" in 2ng gear under lugging (very low rpms).

All and all, it is my second or third fav mod.

Are you dropping the engine too?

I'm leaving the engine in for now. Perhaps next winter I'll pull the whole lot for new heads and cams.

Nollie, Sweet!

Looking good so far.

Wish I was closer to you so I could help out and get my hands dirty.

Savor every moment It will be over before you know it and you'll be looking for something to fill the void.

Man that was fun!

GL!

Neil did a writeup and I think it ended up with Pcarworkshop.

Looks like I'm able to borrow a tall tranny jack (the ones service shops use) so the job should go a lot smoother.

ps I haven't found any other DIYs on a tranny drop except from the one Andreas posted. The other DIYs are for a complete engine drop.

Hey, what's the pitch on that 6mm bold you use to pull out the fork shaft? I'm starting this job tomorrow.
