A '98 C4S with nearly 100K on the clock and no top end rebuild for over $44K, vs. the 1997 C2S listed here recently with 103K for just $33K AND a new top end. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

That car was sold. I believe it was yesterday. The car in this thread is most likely to be sold around the same price IMHO considering there has been no top end done.

Seems high to me too. I sold my 97 C4S with 75k miles no top end, but with a ton of mods for around $44k.

If you are seriously selling the car, what's going to be the new price? That may get people moving in the right direction. I am sure there are buyers wanting to know. Hmmmm. As you can tell the $48K probably won't get it.
