1997 C4S for Sale
Officially for sale:
- 1997 C4S Artic/Black - 75K miles (have owned 2 1/2 years, purchased at 63K miles)
- Sports seats with painted Arctic silver backs - I still have the original Partial Leather Seats that are - Full power driver's seat - manual passenger's seat - either or both seats are negotiable
- Motorsound - but modified in conformance with LPMM - 1 3/4" pipe
- Hi-Fi sound pkg with 10 disc changer (Becker) upgraded to CDR 220
- M030 suspension and sways (via GB a 1 1/2 years ago)
- Euro Turbo bumper
- clear corners
- Front protection bar
- Split grill (I still have original OEM black grill)
- After market HIDs (one of the best modifications)
- OEM big ovals (they were expensive!) - pic below was before I installed them
- Painted rockers
- Yellow calipers (OEM were red, but I repainted them yellow about 1 1/2 years ago)
- Stainless steel door sills
- Two sets of tires (S03s for summer and Hankooks for winter) - S03s probably have 2-3K on them and the Hankooks probably 1-2K) - just put the Hankooks on in Nov 07
- New RH P3.6 wheels (not pictured) - can purchase either or both sets of wheels - negotiable
- Clear bra
- I purchased new Lloyd mats when I bought the car 2 1/2 years ago with the inscription 993 in red
The car is mechanically perfect - now and over the past 2 1/2 years. I really have not had any mechanical problems. I have had leaks in the A/C system in the past (this spring included), but it has been blowing cold all last summer since getting serviced.
Picks:
- OEM wheels have a few outer nicks and the insides are scraped a little due to, I assume, a poor tire mounting process
- the hood was re-painted due to the removed of a previous to me clear bra - there was a nick under the previous to me clear bra so I had the hood repainted when I did the euro turbo bumper
- the euro turbo bumper was perfect for 1 1/2 years, but this spring I received a few pretty good nicks that marred the clear bra and maybe got to the bumper itself - further I think I scraped one of the vents in front of the front tires, but you can't see unless you crawl underneath the car or it's on a rack
- these nicks on the front bumper aside, I do have a few scraped lower on the bumper, specifically the vents in front of the front tires - the FPB doesn't protect everything - especially when the angle is steep - made me sick after having the front end perfect with the new euro turbo bumper
- there are a few small marks on the rear bumper as well as a few imperfections here and there on the body, but not inconsistent with age - trust me these are pretty insignificant considering the car is 10 years old
- PPI several years back was perfect except the driver's rear quarter might have been repainted - I never took it to a body shop as I could not discern a difference or had a concern - I could not investigate as I purchased from Premier in Springfield, MA and the car history was not comprehensive
- I have all the records from the last 2 1/2 years and 75% of the records prior to that - car did get a new clutch at around 50K miles.
Here are a few pics (rear pic was prior to big ovals)
Edit - Oh, forgot that I replaced the headlight lenses with new OEMs - the pits on the originals weren't bad, but the new ones are sweet.
Edit II - I replaced the windshield too - the original was very pitted - the new one is OEM too, but still very new - if I had to do it again, I would not have replaced with OEM - very soft
EDIT - NEW PRICE - $40K - however will have to discuss sport seats and new RH P3.6 wheels

Very nice looking car Rob. If I hadn't just bought this one I would have been seriously interested. Thanks for the offer to let me check it out a couple months ago and good luck with the sale!

Just got around to posting in the classifieds: http://mall.rennlist.com/scripts/fea...uery=retrieval
I raised the price hoping to allow time for a change of mind. However, the car is a winner and has all the right mods - but mostly reversible if desired - so mid 40s is not all that unreasonable.
Happy Holidays
Rob
ps I was just looking at the pics and noticed what a difference the big ovals make vs. the OEM motorsound tips. Not sure they make over $600 worth of difference, but what the hell... can't take it with you!
