Over 100 views and not one comment? What's happened to Rennlist? Recession got your tongue?

Maybe not recession, but cash hoarding mode these days for sure.

Your asking price is also a little harsh with almost 100K.

See below. A more realistic price IMHO. Good luck with the sale:

Hell, when I started to shop it around to grab a price, some of the more knowledgable people around SF Bay Area were telling me to list it at $48,000! At $33,000, I would be giving it away. This is still a '98 C4S.

If someone is actually interested in making an offer/discussing the car, contact me. An asking price is an asking price; that's what negotiations are for...

That is a good price for that car, especially with the top end done.

Ask one of the knowledgable people to buy it. Just kidding of course. Was the price of $48,000 before the meltdown? Price is subjective and sometimes emotional. If the phone hasn't been ringing at all it usually means 1 thing. Price. Also now that you have the competition on a comparable car for 15K less that may also make the sale more difficult(at least in the RL community). Have you done a search on the internet (i.e. Autotrader) and see what miles cars have where people are asking $48,000.00. This should tell you a lot as well. This is not a good time to be selling a high end car. All the posts here are not to cut your car or the price just feedback. Just some info.

Its a known fact that people in the SF Bay Area make a lot more money than most workers in other parts of the country so maybe that's where the disconnect is. On the flip side of it, they do spend a ton more on real estate

Actually that's a very valid point. The only most things don't sell is that they are overpriced... that's it. I'm sorry, but I don't care how great the car is it's still a 10 year old car. 33k is hardly giving it away. It is, after all, just a car. Don't get me wrong I have a 993 too and I would LOVE for you to get that price, but it's just not realistic. In the end, you will end up getting less than if you just priced it right from the beginning.
