Default My car after a weekend PCA tour.

well, there was some rain, some sun, some morning due, lots of dirty roads.
We went from Tacoma, WA down to Cannon Beach, OR, almost a whole tank of gas to get there, lots, & lots of twisties.

This is what she looked like when we got home....

Then after her bath, yes, we had SUN TODAY!!! Hardly a scratch on her, looks like I got lucky! Boy do I LOVE my car!

Cleaned up nicely! You should see how dusty my car is after our few days of knarly wind. Looks grey now

Looks great dirty.... Do you really think that Zee Germans clean their cars as often as we do? or put them away for the winter? the Europeans as a whole drive the **** out of their cars year round. They call it "nicely patina'd"

Nice job cleaning her! Black cars get dirty just by looking at them. All 3 of my Porsches have been black. I never wanted a black car, but I always find myself in them...

How do you decide which to drive each day?

The C4S sits in the garage most of the time. The C4 is my DD & get used almost every day.

Sad thing is, on Wednesday a bunch of us car guys meet up @ a local German Pub, & of course I took the black car, & it rained. So my effort to keep it clean is futile.

Looks like goodweather back home specially for October! In Tokyo right now and wondering how things are. Looks good!

Stopping by in Hawaii on the way home and will get my sun fix. Looks like we missed some at home though.

Black looks good when clean!

Thumbs up

Stealth,

Scarlet sure cleaned up nice, but she looks even better as a dirty girl.

I think the Germans actually keep their cars clean, even though they drive them in the rain. But, if Germans wait for sunny days to do things; they would never do anything...

Try living here in Hawaii. Even on a sunny day, it still rains for 10 - 15 minutes. It's different from the PacNorthwest rain where it can rain for days and weeks. Here, it can be gorgeous one minute, rain for 5 minutes and then gorgeous again.

Can't complain too much, though. Temperature is always in the 70s and 80s.

I love the look of a 993 that has been driven hard and brought home dirty.....It implies fun!!!!

I hate the garage queen that is just in there for status and not for the real reason it was built.

I would love to live in HI! We were in Maui back in April, & just loved it so much, we stayed in the Upcountry, it just felt so right.

Yup, it will rain for 90+ days straight!

It's ALWAYS fun when I drive it! Dirty or clean! She is a bit of a garage queen, that gets driven quite a bit, in a year, I did just over 6kmi on it!

Yea, we would be twins! But no LM's for me, I really want the stock hollow spokes, that is the look that I fell in love with.

As always, the car looks great. Dirty girl or princess, doesn't matter!

Ha, coincidence...today I just found my Cannon Beach Athletic Club t-shirt in the bottom of my t-shirt drawer.
I swapped a Team NZ America's Cup shirt for it with a friend of my sister's who worked there (and who we stayed with)
I'd flown into Seattle specifically to visit the Boeing Factory at Everett, and the Boeing Field museum. My sister was working at a summer camp up near Lake Wenatchee, so I got a rental car and drove up there via the Steven's Pass, then after staying a few days, we went down to Portland, and then over to Cannon Beach, before heading back to the camp. Obviously we did it over several days, and despite the fact I was driving a horrid 1300cc auto trans Mitsubishi, I remember the roads as being fantastic (with the exception of I 5)
If only I had been driving my Porsche, I think I would have been in heaven.
(oh, and the minor inconvenience that my Porsche has the steering wheel on the wrong side!!)
