Default FEELER: 993 C2 for sale

Price is 30K

I've had this car for 4 years and never had any major issues outside of regular maintenance. I'm considering putting my car up for sale because a car like this deserves more attention than I can give it at the moment. I also like to modify my cars and there's not that much aftermarket support for these cars. I also have another porsche in the family (a water drinker!! gasp!) so I guess I could get my porsche fix when I need it. Anyhow, I'm young and I have plenty of time to get back into a porsche, so I'm going to do the smart (stupid) thing and put my porsche up for sale.

I'm not sure how much to ask for it, as price ranges are fairly wide. However, I feel that with the valve guide issue corrected, service records, and desirable modifications, $30k wouldn't be too far off, no?

1996 Grand Prix White Carrera C2
94.3K miles
3rd Owner

Maintenance:
All records since the 2nd owner (30K miles, I'll have to make sure though)
  • Clutch @ 94,181 miles
  • Value Guide issue addressed at around 55K. Work done at Callas Rennsport. Guides replaced with harder materials I believe.
  • Limited-slip diff rebuilt around 55k as well.
  • Regular oil changes with mobile 1 15w50 every 5k
  • Rotors and pads done at around 75k (will need to verify with records)
  • 30k/60k/90k complete at appropriate intervals
  • Windshield replaced at 90k
  • Door strap wielded on drivers side by Devek via "concurs correct" method. Search rennlist if you're interested on that ugly debate.

MODS
  • Bilstein HD shocks and Euro M030 springs
  • Ghetty design GT2 front splitter
  • MA Shaw GT2 rear spoiler with adjustable carbon fiber blade
  • Factory aero II side skirts
  • 8000K HID bulbs
  • ECU from 1997 carrera - don't know if the ecu is already reprogrammed or not. No way to tell, but reprogrammable since it is 97. 96 ECUs are not reprogrammable AFAIK
  • Volk Racing TE37s wheels, 18x8.5 / 18x10 - 17.6 lbs and 19.4 lbs front/rear
  • Alpine stereo
  • GT2 shift ****
  • Rennline aluminum track mat
  • Rennline pedals (not installed)
  • Front strut bar
  • RSR exhaust w/Techart tips

FACTORY OPTIONS
The only notable option is the limited-slip differential. I will double check though.

NEEDS
  • One tab on the sunroof broke which prevents the wind deflector from folding down completely when attempting to close the sunroof. Probably an easy fix, but I never had the time.

Last thing, my car was in a very minor accident that involved body work only. It was taken to a very reputable shop and they did a fantastic job. The work consisted of repairing the passenger rear fender, but no bondo/fillers were used and the paint work is excellent. You seriously wouldn't have been able to tell if I didn't tell you.

Below are pics of my car with BBS REs on it. It has Volk Racing TE37s on it as shown in my signature. Thanks for reading guys.

Ahh! It was these pictures that inspired me to get into another P-car when I was so close to purchasing a white E46 M3. If this was last October, I wouldn't have thought twice about paying $30k for this example. I would imagine you can get at least $33k from the right buyer. The new owner will be very happy and will receive compliments all day long. Good luck!

Price seems low IMHO. But what do I know...

Beautiful car and honorable of you to state upfront what is needed (and about the body work).

About the $30K, that's a rennlist special. When I post this on craigslist and autotrader, I'll adjust accordingly.

Man, I can't believe you're selling your car. I'd be all over it but it's bad timing right now. GL with the sale.

It looks really smart. I would have preferred the RS Clubsport wing, however. I think the wheels look great too.

Nice car. I especially like the bottom front and bottom rear spoilers and the low stance, and the BBS's.
Sent you a PM - I'm in the market, looking mostly at 87-89 911s and some 993's.
