If any proprietary trader or fund manager is searching for a better futures and options sales, I am available, I am @ Cantor fitzgerald..
Today is charity day for our 9/11 mates.
ps: I voted for lower stock market and higher futures

Chances are FOMC might cut rates by 0.50 this coming tuesday, shock therapy we are getting used to in crisis like this. If so, we will witness a rebound but very short term.

Yesterday all the revenues we generated were offered to the 9/11 victim's families, as on every 9-11. GSTS.

Hey Geo,

An ex Cantors guy myself. I always find 9-11 a difficult day.

Strange here in CA, no announcements at work or at the schools, wierd.

Was on the phone to the guys in the office in NY at the time (was in London back office).

Worked the DR for options during the aftermath, getting the families their commission bonuses. A life changing event for sure. I made sure my kids know all about it.

As for the mkts, energy stocks! Shame there's no Cuban tobacco etf, Ike will have wiped out this years crop...

Did either of you Cantor guys know Baron Bruno? Good friend of mine.

He was working for Cantor back then, too, out of the LA office. Luckily, he was not in NY that day, but was talking to the guys through the squawk box. He hasn't been the same since...He started in NY in the mid-ninties, then transferred to SF in '97, then LA...

Sorry Jeff, don't know him.

I'd be happy to meet him next time I'm in LaLa land tho.

He's out of the business, moved to Scottsdale...thanks for the response, though. I knew some of the folks in the SF office, I believe Sue Moyer ran it? Anywho, that's old history now.

No, I think he's referring to the Niners upsetting Seattle.

I think he's referring to Lehman filing and Merrill being forced into a shotgun wedding. It ain't over yet either. Hope you guys have some decent cash at hand.

Actually remoinds me of an old gag from the '87 Black Monday...

What's a balanced Portfolio?

1/3 gold
1/3 food
1/3 guns

Wow, pessimism has grown from 30% to over 50% in five days. At least no one is living in fairyland.
