1995 C2 Polar Silver, PSS-9s SOLD PENDING PICKUP
Okay, a second Rennlister flaked out on me after promising to get me a deposit this weekend, so I am going post this again. My car is seriously for sale because of family issues.
Here are the details:
1995 Porsche 993 Carrera 2 Polar Silver Metallic. Excellent condition, mechanically and cosmetically.
The car is in great shape. It was my daily driver for several years and has been driven only about 1k miles in the last 8 months. No dings, the normal chips here and there. Front and rear bumper covers have been painted in the last 2k miles. The interior is very clean with less than the usual wear on the seat bolsters an no tears. Books, tools and spare all in perfect shape. Smells just like a Porsche should!
Owned and maintained by 20-year PCA member. Very solid car. I have owned the car since 2000 and 40K miles. Never tracked or raced. One driver's skills day at Bremerton.
Euro Turbo Nose
Turbo S front spoiler
Bilstein PSS-9s and corner balance (less than 6000 miles ago)
RSR mufflers
Turbo Sways
LSD/ABD
AJUSA Strut brace
Cruise
Sunroof
Partial leather
Power and heated seats
'02 Exclusive Programme TTII hollow-spoke wheels
Michelin Pilot Sports 235-40/zr18 front, 285-30/zr-18 rear, very little wear
New rotors and pads (2k ago)
New tie rods (~10K ago)
Mobil 1 every 3k or every 6 months, whichever came first (both filters, not just the big one!)
New windshield (~5k ago)
99K miles
$28000/OBO
C02 Equipped with catalytic converter
M030 SPORT TYPE RUNNING GEAR
M139 SEAT HEATING SYSTEM, LEFT SEAT
M220 LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL 40%
M224 AUTOMATIC LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL
M233 ORIGINAL TIRES, PIRELLI
M340 SEAT HEATING SYSTEM, RIGHT SEAT
M398 CUP WHEEL 17 INCHES
M498 WITHOUT VEHICLE TYPE LETTERING ON REAR END
M850 ?
M894 ?
VIN WPOAA2995SS322705
This the perfect daily driver for someone or an awesome DE car. I will be happy to take it in for a PPI at their shop of choice. I would expect the courtesy of a copy of the report.
I am asking $28000, reflecting the mileage and the need for a clutch in the future (LWFW and RS clutch would be fun!)
What does it need? I am guessing it will need a clutch within about 10-15K. It is not slipping at all, however. Other than that, nothing that I am aware of. It has been the most reliable car I have ever owned and I have owned it 8 years and 60k miles.
For transparency: the carfax will show an accident two years ago. This was a very, very minor hit-and-run where the front bumper was scraped. A police report had to be filed for the officers to go pick up the idiot that did it and took off. I upgraded to the TT nose and S spoiler at the time. I have photos of the scrape to the bumper cover. No joking, it was really minor... Update- set the picture of the accident below.
Feel free to call me or email me if you are serious. If you do not have the cash in hand, please don't waste my time.

For the purposes of transparency, here is the picture of the minor accident. Notice that the fender was not scratched and only needed for the tire mark to be rubbed out.
The bumper cover and corner lights were replaced.

Tom,
I think your pricing is more than fair for a well-sorted car. Hopefully a serious buyer comes along soon.
I'll never forget how you helped me three years ago with my 993.

Wow- that is definitely a great car at a good price. Sorry you have to let it go, but as a 20 year PCA member I imagine you'll be back in the fold once things straighten themselves out. Good luck!

if the stock bumper and wheels were on the car and the price was $2K less (to take in account the carfax and clutch needed soon) i would have bought it....just not a fan of the turbo front bumper.
damn thing is just around the corner.

William, buy it and swap the bumper for a standard one (with cash) to paint it the right color. You will come out ahead. Wheels, same thing. You will come out ahead and will have paid for close to half of your clutch (wich will be needed in several years depending on your driving habits!)

Buy the car and I will gladly swap my stock front nose for the turbo nose. Same color and I am in Seattle also.

The wheels are from the Exclusive Program. I bought them from Brumos. They are narrow offset TTII wheels like on the 996 TT. I have the part numbers around here somewhere. I personally have never seen another set, but I really don't know rare they are.
