Default Painted rear reflector

Just curious if anyone has ever painted the rear reflector the car's exterior color? Wonder if it would update the tail-light section or look stupid. I've seen pics of Rufs with it done, like the BTR2 993 in August 08' Excellence, or these...

I think the reflector ties the car to its classic style compared to the 996 style without it. One reason I liked the 996C4S when Porsche re-introduced it.

You might be better off with a color matched vinyl wrap - that way you could undo it easily.

Good Luck

I don't mind it so much. I don't think it's too ricer if don't right.
Personalizing is all about individuality, right?

Wonder if they make a shiny polar silver vinyl wrap...

Not a fan of painting the center reflector, but I think it could look pretty sweet if the center reflector lit up like the aftermarket ones on 911s

The rear fog light set up for ROW lights it up. A friendly RLer gave me some fog sockets to put in there but I haven't gotten around to wiring it yet...

I like the idea of color matched vinyl on the light. The edges would be easy to hide and it's probably reversible. Not sure if it's my cup of tea but there is more angle on the center reflector than there was on early 911s so I think it might blend better if it's body color.

yep - see pic. Though i did notice that a C4S here in Hong Kong with a fixed turbo wing did not have this.
