iPod adapter.....
Anyone know if this will work? The company seems to think it will interface with the CD changer input. For the price, I don't see how I could go wrong even if it doesn't work. Just wondering if anyone has tried this before? I'm trying to hook my iPhone into the stereo. I have it done in the daily driver and miss it greatly in the 993.

I tried this lead in my Targa with a CDR 220 head unit. It works fine. Negatives, no power source from this lead so you need a seperate power source. I used one from Belkin that allowed plugs into a cigarette lighter socket. I neded to by the longer RCA cables to connect the belkin device which has combined left and right channel input. A single lead then runs from this to your I-pod. Drawbacks, Belkin Device got in the way and bugged me. As the Belkin also has built in amplification it exacerbated supression noise (speaker whine with engine revs) at higher volume levels. I tried using a ground loop isolator as some said this would remove the whine from the speakers, it didn't so I removed it.
I then found a better lead that goes from the CD socket on the back of the CDR 220 to the I -Pod and it also charges the I-Pod. I still get some supression noise over the speakers at high volume levels, at low to medium sound level it is fine. Let me look for the details and will post another reply.

I have the cr-210 and I was able to hook up the iphone, just run an rca cable from the cd changer and connect it to the apple aux cable, sounds great except you have to keep discs in the changer, the stereo and cd changer work as they always did except now the sound comes from your iphone.

How do you switch from changer to iPhone or vice versa when you want to play music from either one?

I believe the 210 requires the changer still be attached but the 220 and TPro don't, at least that's the impression I got from reading this thread:
Sorry couldn't get the link to work so I'm afraid you'll need to search for it. The thread was titled CDR 210, Aux inputs? and was started 5-31-07. You can find it pretty easily.
