yes it is! They copy the race car (was it a917?) which was painteed pink with all the different meat cut marked on the car.

I'm looking for pics of that 917, but here below is the 911

Great shot of the white 908/3: think there were approx 9 made, but could be wrong. Saw one in Gulf colours at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which each year celebrates racing cars over the last 3 centuries.
