Default FS: GT3 Sports Seats

Excellent condition. Barely used. GT3 sports seats made by Recaro, original Porsche seats with Porsche crest. Black leather with black backs. Includes sliders. Came out of my GT3. Have more pics if interested.

If I only had the cash. This item still remains on my slippery slope list of mods.

The seats are awesome. I have them in my Boxster and love them. The price looks good too.

I have heard mixed stories on how hard these are to put in a 993. Any experience or reference threads that will point out the tricky parts? I would prefer to keep a little use uf my back seat, but I do have a 968...

As long as you have the correct rails it is a simple bolt-in process.

All RennMyths, IMO. Do a search under "GT3 seats" and "Mark in Baltimore" (Threads Started By) and you'll see that, as Harvey says, it's a simple bolt-in procedure. Could not have been more simple. If you're tall, you'll need different side mounts to lower the seat.

The seats have rails for Porsche and were installed in my GT3. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the same rails would fit in the 993.

Actually, the most difinitive info I had was a guy in my PCA region who had a set and ended up selling them because they just wouldn't fit. I have the normal center section and the factory HiFi audio option doorpanels. I'll look up your thread. I am 5'8". No idea if the 996GT3 seat rails are the same.

My GT3 seats came with 996/986 rails and popped right into my 993 without an issue, other than a lack of headroom.
