1997 Arena Red C2

Course I work from Home, so basically I drive it to and from the Airport every few weeks when work makes me travel.

Thinking about a Mini though as a DD

United Gray VW R32, '08, and sometimes an '04 AUDI S4, but that's in the shop, again, with more problems, so it looks like it will be gone soon, great car initially, lately falling apart.......

Keeping it in the fatherland. Audi S4 or allroad. Both are twin turbocharged and plenty entertaining to drive. The S4 is my favorite of the two. The 993 gets to play when the weather is nice.

My wife rolls an '00 E320, but with the Corolla, it's "Don't hate...celebrate!" Perfect for inching my way in to downtown LA and leaving in a parking garage all day.

It's a rear-end salvage repair which I bought directly from the body shop that did the work. Had 28K for $8,300. Now has 73K with zero problems. Get about 30-34 MPG yet fits 5 real sized adults, thanks to "chair-height" seating. Has a huge trunk. Replaced original front pads with genuine Toyota pads at 70K(!) miles. Just replaced dry-rotted Firestones with new overkill Bridgestone RE960s at $67 a piece. Awesome upgrade!

I had a 1997 Mercedes E 420 that I loved. Had 120,000 miles on it and I planned to keep it forever....until it jumped timing and the cost was more than the car was worth. Sold it on Ebay and bought a new S550 chipped and lowered through Renntech. Unbelievable car. To reduce the annual miles on this car and to improve gas mileage, I ride my Harley Davidson Road King 3 days a week-weather permitting.

I guess I'm the poor man here... my daily driver is a lowly Scion xA. 60K+ miles, and averages 32mpg, somewhat offsetting the global catastrophe that is Rufus.

2005 A6 4.2 - not a bad car. Suspension is a little rough for midwest city driving but it's a great highway cruiser. Feels great at triple digit speeds(I'm told) rumbling down the interstate. Nice interior.

I go to extremes. In any case, who else here will admit to a FRENCH car !
I will admit to a FRENCH DD. 1991 Peugeot 405 Mi 16 with 120k on the clock!!. Although I just bought a 1995.5 Audi S6 for the winter as the French car won't start below 30 F

DD = MB E500. Accept for our SUV and some classic cars, I don't think I've ever owned anything but a German DD.
