CEC just opened up about 2 miles from where I live. I am not impressed with their body kits. I have not seen any real performance work from them yet. On the other hand I was at Ruf in Dallas a few weeks ago and was very impressed.

I went to UCI and always wondered if that was THE Brabus. Guessing you live in Irvine/Newport. Zot zot.

Newport Beach. We see more Mercedes on the streets here than Toyota's. Although the volume of Prius owners has been growing.Ugggh

for those Rennlisters with the $$ to have a daily driver like this + Porsche, you MUST DO IT
Only one problem: Once you get used to the torque, you cannot go without. Ask me how I know...

I drove one a few weeks ago. Sure it was "quick", but I wasn't blown away in the least about the power (I do have a 850bhp mustang, so thats part of it). I also thought the interior was just cheap as hell, as are all the new C classes.

Great looking car, but I have no desire to own a "sporty" mercedes. They are much better at making luxury cars than sports cars, so I'll stick to my S class.

agree with this for the most part... but for someone without an 850hp mustang, it was a little more
impressive

1/4 mile = 12.5 or better, that's pretty damn quick for a 4000lb sedan!

Peter, my mustang is a simple appliance. It is a cheap tool that i used for brutal acceleration and grip. Thats it. It loud, its not particularly comfortable, and it has an interior made of tupperware. Its crap, from front to back, and I realize that. However, it has no pretense of luxury or high quality materials. It also cost about half of what the C63 does.

On the other hand, my designo s500 has a full leather dash, door panels, center console, alcantara headliner, etc. That, to me, is what an MB should have. Not interior plastics that look like they came from a CTS caddy. Even my 2000 E430 had better materials than the new plastic. It just looks and feels a bit cheap for a car in that price range, power or not.

Were it something like a lotus elise, then who cares, but lets face it, this is still supposed to be a luxury sports sedan.

Until they make it with a manual transmission, I'm not interested.

tomaeto /tomahto I guess...

- the interior looks fine to me, not as luxurious as some of the Mercedes cruiser upper end models, but not really supposed to look that cushy I guess, this is their sports sedan... I think the interior is better than the new M3, but not as good as the RS4

- I wouldnt want this car with a manual... a big muscle car sedan capable of hauling kids, but also fun to drive, sit in traffic, etc... a stick would get old I think... this is not a replacement for our cars, its a different kind of car

only point of my original post was to share how crazy fast the car is/felt... still I say, fastest thing I have ever been in

lets get back to Porsches
