Default 200Miles of Great Driving & Great Cars..Lots of Pics 993 Content too!

My first real fun road trip with true gearheads. Lots of fast corners and straight aways. Great meeting you all and a great day. Many thanks to Dave for putting the drive together.

I will let the pics do the talking...

PS Jeff-- Liking your new wheels & avatar. Just when we thought fatass couldn't get any phatter. Nice.

BTW,
Anybody else notice the below license plate? Creative & crazy cool.
I didn't know CO state tags have Porsche crests. If that were real, a bunch of us would move, just for the P-plate!

What a great collection of cars. Love the 930, the OP should tell us more about the location etc, since pictures can't really "talk."

Glad you guys enjoyed the pictures. Bishop's Castle is located about an hour south west of Colorado Springs, or just over two hours south west of Denver in the San Isabel Forest.

The Castle was built by a very eccentric but extremely interesting man as a statement and reflection of a vision he had as a young man. He started this project in 1969 and is still working on it, almost 40years later!! He funded the entire thing himself and he is a trades welder, so we are not talking a money man with deep pockets here. Many times the local governments tried to shut him and his castle project down, and it only fueled him to keep going and push back on them and give them the middle finger. I chatted with him for quite some time, and he really is interesting and "opinionated", but it was great! Google "Bishop's Castle" in Colorado for more interesting reading.

There are stretches of road where 120+mp/h can be reached very very easily, and many many tight hairpins, where you really have to know your limits and your cars. In my case, my limits are much lower than my car's. My car is the Guards Red 911 Turbo with the HREs and the polished custom intercooler.

The Silver 911 turbo with the Porsche crest on the plate belongs to the event organizer Dave, and I am pretty sure that is a sticker - it is very cool.

The Zork'd 911 Turbo belongs to my friend Dave and is a stunning car, the wheels are custom made by Lindsey.
