I'm pretty sure it's Blue Turquoise. Interesting photo for me though. I have a very vivid memory of following a Blue Turquoise 993 C4S (which this looks to be) for a few miles in Burnaby circa early spring 1998. Couldn't get closer than 1/2 block as traffic was heavy so I couldn't see the interior colour. I have NEVER seen the car "in the metal" again. Could this be the same car? Is the owner ever on RL? There can't be that many C4Ss around in that stunning colour.
Thanks for the pic!

Tim-- Really glad you liked that shot. It caught my eye, & I briefly wondered if our Canadian contingent would notice the license plate (...silly me
). Not only did you immediately see the Vancouver-area plate, but ... you've chased after this 993 in real life!!! Cool story.
Jonathan-- Best guess is Blue Turq, too. Tim's call definitely helps, though. Many depths of blue there, but in general, I think it's easier to photograph a dark car in the sunlight that looks bright, than a bright car in the sunlight that looks dark.
Lots of dynamic blues on that one.
RLer 993S (Denis) touched on it: the developing of the photo may make it look different than real life.
Speaking of real-life Blau Turq, you're one of the lucky ones with a specimen of this great color in your garage. You best summarized its dynamic paint qualities in your "On It's Way - Thanks Intercity!" thread:
What is most interesting about this color is how different it looks in different light. Check out the picture with the back part in the sun, and the front part in the garage. It almost looks like two different paints on the car. The sun part looks Riviera almost, and as it moves in shade, almost Teal-like.

RB's understandably a favorite around here, with relatively plentiful examples on RL.
A couple of ultra-rare Gulf shots for reference, from the "993 Paint to Sample Pics" thread:

I love Gulf. I have yet to actually see Riviera in person. My expectation is that it would look lighter than my turquoise blue and not have the green/teal undertones.
That first picture you posted of my car at RPM unintentionally really captured the issue here. It looks like 3-4 different paint colors as you follow it from dark to bright sun. I am personally not as crazy about the color in the shade. But I absolutely love it in the sun, it looks almost neon.
By the way, in that same picture, that was Jerry Seinfeld's ex-996 GT2, in Adriatic Blue, in front of my car.

I think the colors might be off in this picture. I have a magazine article (I think it's in total911, one of the earlier issues) about a RUF BTR from NZ or AU. I'll have to look it up but it looks like it's the same car and from memory it was Turquoise blue.
