the blue 993 thread

I gotta tell you the new wheels really, really make the car!
I looked at Better Bodies but there's no way I'd use that material unless it's strictly for race. Your car is perfect! Who is "Gert"? Thanks.

Gert runs Carewal, a rennlist sponsor. All my stuff is from the dealer- same oem metal he sells.

Louis,
I couldn't agree more on the GT2 in the picture. However, this is not the same one as you and I used to post pictures of.. Thisone is Blue Turquoise, but I guess you figured already.
Is this a conversion or the real deal? Does anyone know?

He also referenced labor is around 75 hours plus paint time.
This might be an excellent option for me if I especially source a good deal (one I might have now given this option) where the body needs work. Great option and likely cheaper than sourcing a C4S or S.

I had a feeling about this since I don't recall the yellow cage and orange rear markers but I somehow missed the color difference.

Henk - do you run the 997S wheels just for the track? Are they 19"? Any other pictures with the wheels? Sorry for all the questions. I don't have my 993 yet, but plan on it. Champion makes a similar looking wheel but no longer for the NB 993.

Jeff: I thought I noticed something different on your sig! +3 on the new wheels. Honestly, I like your car more overall now. Less bling, more OEM-like.
Give us a heads up if you make it down to LaLA-land. Meet in the middle seems to be tough to pull off, but I expect that south hosts north would be much more do-able. The 9/27-9/28 Coronado Festival of Speed might be something cool to build a meet around?

993 "GT" GT2
thank you for all the comments.
My car is a real 993 GT2 from 1996 one of the first batch with 430 PS. the car is still in his original condition only some miles on it and the original setup box was given a pressure tweak to 485 PS, no problem with this rock solid engine.
I used to have a lot of porsche cars but this is detinitly the last resort when it comes to the ultimate air cooled 911. Of course there is still the 993 GT1 but this one is in an other league and only 2 or 3 has been produced.
I want to take some better shoots when I have time and start another thread.
Of course the photocar is a 997 GT3 RS in viper green.
have fun in driving the last real 911.
