Time to fall in love again - let's spruce up Charlie's car!
So, I'm keeping the 993 and looking to do a few things to spruce it up. Here's my list so far, with the smaller things being "now" items and the bigger ones being sometime this year items.
- Rennline adjustable pedals
- New rubber trim rings around dash gauges (mine are cracked and faded)
- MY '97 intercooler hoses
- V1
- Buy another set of turbo twists and have them refinished with the lighter, metallic Turbo S finish
- Front-end respray and clear bra to get rid of stone chips
So what else can I do (on the smaller side of things) to add a bit of zest and "new" to my car? I already have the steering wheel, shifter, hand brake, and suspension setup.

I forgot about those - great idea!
Oh - and I want to do widebody wide ovals (early production TTs had small tips). Anybody have a not-a-zillion-dollars source?

Charlie you would want to get the tips for the narrow body cars (EP5110). The WB tips do not fit TTs.. Search ebay for "corvette5dude" he has cornered the market at $89 shipped.. Have you considered any interior mods? Maybe some CF from marcus or Recaro racing shells? Just a thought.. Half roll cage??

Can anyone confirm this? The turbos are WB but have different exhaust configurations so it could make sense. That would be convenient.

I was thinking about refinishing my twists in the turbo s hyper silver - someone referred me to this place: http://www.wheelcollision.com/.
ps. The owner is on the right... unfortunately not on the left.

Turbos use NB tips. The problem is the NB tips are a bit longer (3/4 inch or so) so they stick out of the bumper more. I have a set you can try. I'll send them to you next time I'm in Park City if you PM me your address. I LOVE my MBPs. They are a bit loud outside the car, but noticeably quicker spool up and not that much louder inside (unless you nail it in a tunnel with the windows down. OMG that's awesome)

The turbo mufflers are configured a bit differently and use NB tips... as mentioned above.
If you respray the nose, the fender to bumper rubber and the rubber at the trailing edge of the fender will "new" it up a bit. The rubber at the back edge of the fender tends to get cracked... the new stuff looks sweet in comparison. A small thing but satisfying... Sunset has the best $ on these.

get some new floor mats? what about that cool cup holder on ebay (i know, gasp), colored seat belts, some cool Porsche literature/posters on the 993, a COA, car cover, or a really deep detail (just had this done) are all things that come to mind in the "lower" price category

Following the paintwork will be a serious detail/clear bra prep and the purchase of one of those filtered/de-ionized car washing systems that allows you to not towel dry the car and thus avoid some swirls. I'll also pick up an indoor cover.
