Re. the black beading. I tried staples, but found that glue was much, much easier.

Good luck with a great upgrade.

After some wiring issues, that were easy to solve because of the great help from this Forum, I finished installing the Euro Turbo Front Bumper today. I was very surprised how easy this project was. Everything went together perfectly. I was a little nervous that it was going together so well...concerned that I was doing something wrong.
I can't drive it yet as my new tires are coming by FredEX and I will be preparing and painting my Cup wheels on Friday...black centers.

Thanks for all your help!!! Yes, this is a great place!!!

I'm waiting for my new tires to arrive so I decided to refinish my wheels. The OEM 17" Cup IIs were all silver so I sanded with wet/dry 400 grit sand paper (sanded dry by hand) and cleaned with Simple Green and water and forced air dried with my compressor. I was told to get ALL the dust and finger oil off before I began spraying paint.

The green tape is used to form a perfect edge is the $4 per roll stuff from the paint shop (Finishmasters here in town) and the paint is R-M Aero-Max, AM200 High Gloss Black (2 cans). The blue tape is just painters masking tape. Total Cost, $35.00 US.

Taping and sanding was about one hour per wheel. Each coat of paint dried in about 15 minutes and I gave the wheels 3 coats of paint. The Porsche crest center caps were sanded and cleaned the same way and I painted one thin coat, then sanded, and then painted 2 more light coats.

Tire Rack...where are my Goodyear Eagle F1s????

I'll see how this holds up and if it does not, I will have them Media Blasted and professionally painted.

Just got the new Goodyear Eagle F1 tires mounted on the refinished wheels this afternoon and just had to get her out of the garage.

I take her in to the paint shop tomorrow morning for the bumper respray. It's funny that the lighter shade of red on the new bumper looks very close in the sun. It's still not the right color, so I'll get it resprayed tomorrow.

I'm very happy with the bumper look and the wheels! I just love blue eyes and red lipstick!!!

Next on the Slippery Slope...Clear bra, realign to street spec. and I will be a happy camper.... Oh, and paint the calipers red...and....
