Default CDR-210 vs Traffic Pro

I did the swap over to the Traffic Pro and couldn't be happier. The stereo definately sounds better and is a little louder.

1) The traffic pro guide says the output is 4 x 18Watts. I dont see anthing for the CDR. Does anyone know what it is?

2) Does anyone know what the specs are on the stock non-hifi speakers?

3) Do I have an AMP under my seat?

I am wondering if I replace the 2 front speakers without adding an amp, will I get a nice improvement, with the Traffic pro powering them.

Any thoughts guys???????

If you have the premium sound option, you have the amp under the seat. I replaced my front speakers with a set of Focals and the sound improved.

Where did you get the traffic pro from?

Available on eBay and from Becker USA (factory refurbished).
There have been some very detailed threads in the forum regarding these units (FWIW, I bought mine from a fellow 993 Targa owner on eBay).

Personal decision.
The TrafficPro looks/feels OEM, so it's a bit easier to justify the cost.....$400-$750 range).
On the downside, the NAV discs are no longer supported/updated, so the maps are the maps.
You would get better NAV with a TomTom/Garmin/Navigon/etc unit for $300 stuck to the windshield.

You do not have an amp.
