Default HELP from targa owners...

The little red plugs that plug in the 3 motors in the rear for the targa glass and shade have broken and plastic has worn out..i probably screwed up somehow. i need to find these red plugs and porsche does not sell them seperatly without the motor!! it costs 6-700$ for each motor!! anyone know where i can get these seperatly?
Thanks.

Wow that is a tough one. I wonder if you can have them made, like machined out of plastic.
Buying 3 motors would be outta-hand expensive.
Trying to figure out how to get them other than though the dealer I would think would be impossible, unless Webasto would let you buy from them, which I doubt. You could ask:
Here
LA Porsche Dismantlers has or had a wrecked Targa, but they won't sell off little top parts, they want to sell the whole roof. Aanother place that had a Targa wrecked is Here But I think you will run into a similar problem.

Ditto Amfab's question. Is the sunroof motor in the Audi the same as out top motors?

Hi Amfab,
Is it easier to replace the roof cables on 1996 Targa without removing the whole top, my top is jammed at the partial closed position, don't know how to release the cable and replace it.

Cheers
Ahmad
