Default Some GT2 ****..

http://www.detailfinish.co.uk/blog/porsche-993-gt2.htm

I have no affil whatsoever with the site. Just wanted to share with you my absolute dream Porsche. And it's in the right color as well! If anyone knows the color name or code feel free to share it with the rest of us. My guess would be the blue color that Louis mentioned in the other thread but I have no paint code for it. It does look a little like the Audi RS (Nogaro) blue. It definately much more blue than Turquoise Blue that Porsche did on the 993. Nuff said, enjoy the pics. I know they are small but O MY!!!! The perfect Porsche

I think that color is Mexico....blue looks too "deep" to be Riviera, and I don't think it's Turquoise. I think Seinfeld's last 993 was also Mexico IIRC.

I need to go be by myself for a while. But seriously, that is one of my all time favorite cars, and in the right color to boot.

RS man is correct. That is my all time favorite 993 and I was planning on doing a color change on my C4S to that color. Simply orgasmic.

Hmm.. Well I think it could be Audi RS Blue. It's GORGEOUS nevertheless.. Harry, do you have the paint code for this color? Was this a common special order color?

That was in one of the mags this month. GTPorsche? Guy also has a 997 GT3 and a 964 variant. GT2 takes the cake, though

I bet that bloke wishes now that he'd included this color in his middle-of-the-road value of color poll...

Viggo, I don't know the code. The previous owner and the current owner post regularly in PCGB forum that is why I know it is Audi RS Blue and it is a twin plug.

Hè SPfreak, bedankt man !

I dug deeper into this... I found this on the following site:

www.911heaven.net/porschestock.php

"Genuine 993 GT2, one of the original run of cars with the Alloy doors and bonnet. Registered in October 1996 with 2 German owners and 1 UK owner (current owner). It is a genuine 1 of a kind and is the only one to have left Stuttgart in Audi RS Blue (a deeper richer shade than the Maritime Blue). Has been the subject of many magazine articles and is a stunning original panel car. Original Speedline wheels, Porsche motorsport clutch, diff and front brakes. Genuinely maintained regardless of cost with a large folder of receipts. The engine has been rebuilt and upgraded with Porsche motorsport parts including twin spark heads, higher spec oil pump and bigger turbo's. The engine produces in excess of 550 bhp and 798 NM of torque. A really fantastic car."

So it is a one of a kind Audi RS Blue Porsche 993 GT2.

It seems that there are loads and loads of information on the Audi RS2 color code debate. When looking at this site it is stated that:

http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publi...nter_311.shtml

Painted in Volkswagen's Jazz Blue, which is actually the same paint code as RS2 Blue as well as the Nogarro Blue found on today's S4 models..

However, I don't believe this to be correct. Here is what I found:

Jazz Blue is LW5Z/1D
Nogaro Blue is A67NB

Whether VW Jazz Blue and Audi RS Blue are the same I can't say. I once had a VW Golf IV TDi in Jazz blue . hehe. However, it seems that there are newer versions of the Nogaro blue from 2003 onwards. This is called "Nogaro blue Pearl" and is not the same as the Audi RS Blue or Nogaro blue because it is metallic. Anyways, if someone has the code for Audi RS Blue (1994), please share.

This seems like the correct color:

http://www.garaget.org/?car=79060

More to come on this I guess..

Here is my old Jazz blue golf:

Cool, but a NB RS in Riviera Blue is still my gold standard from an aesthetic standpoint, like Bill V's.
