I have a friend (porsche guy) in Germany right now staying at his sisters house.(don't know where it is off hand. He will be there for the next 3 weeks.

I've had success on ebay.de by using babelfish translation to more effectively communicate with sellers: just avoid idioms in the text, and the translations are far better than my halting ability in German .
Paypal generally works, but a mailed money order can be acceptable: wiring smaller amounts generally has prohibitive fees for both buyer & seller.

Yes I use the Babel Fish Translation all the time.Great service.This is why I keep spending money overseas
