Question On the move again - Anybody in Ft Walton Beach/Destin FL?

It is time to move again. It has been 10 years since I lived in the Ft Walton Beach and Destin area. Any good 993 mechanics in the area? How about a good speed shop for alignments and wheel/tire balance? Looking forward to meeting some of you who live in the panhandle. Thanks.

Hi Randy,

Great to see you posting here. I read a 3-page thread about a Pacific NW get together and did not see you post/attend. I was thinking about you.

I hope you are doing well with all the recent health challenges. Spring is here, and it is indeed good, no, make it GRRRRRRREAT, to be alive. Enjoy.

Hey Pong...Good to be back. My valve replacement was pretty routine and I am just taking it easy as this big incision on my chest heals. I can't drive yet so I will be at home this weekend...there's plenty more and I feel great. Thanks for the kind thought!!!!

Randy,

Good to know that you are doing well and taking it easy at home. We have two (at least) common bonds: We love our daughters, and BBQ. Yeeeeeah!!!

Have a great weekend.

Bought my 993 in Fort Walton Beach a few years ago. The previous owner had the car serviced at Mark's autowerks 850-244-9989. I talked to the shop before buying the car and they seemed reasonably knowledgable about 993s. I did not have any luck finding another shop or a rennlister in the area to help with a PPI.

David Smith, at Smith Motorworks, is a good 993 wrench. 850-769-9500 or www.smithmotorworks.com He's a PCA supporter and a good guy.

I bought my car from David Smith. I was hoping to find someone a bit closer and I really need someone who can do an alignment. I'm going to upgrade my suspension and don't want to drive it too far or too long on the new setup without aligning the car. Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming.
