There is a regular ducktail and Shaw makes a "mini" DT for the 993.
I thought about it (mini) for the C4S and decided to do nothing- as much as I love Cahrera's cahr.

I then considered one for my (silver) 964 but they don't make one. They should.

The 964 uses a pre 964 ducktail decklid. You just have to have your hinges adapted.

I had a 964 with a ducktail....search for my userid. The ducktail I used had dimples that matched exactly up to the 964 hinges. Simply drilled the holes and bolt onto the car. Don't know who makes it but you can ask to see if there are dimples next to the normal molded in bolt holes.

I'm looking to get mine from GT-Racing.com. The one they make allow's you to use your existing 993 grill and it's $399 I believe.

I just checked their site and it's $568 I believe, but they did say you could use the 993 grill.

This is the one that's $399 and designed to use with 993 grills! Anyone use their products before?

That appears to be a standard ducktail that will fit pre 1989 1/2. It says it uses the later plastic grill, which means SC/Carrera grill, not 993.

Scott, your can is stunning, thanks for the pics. I'm still trying to get my "Carrera" graphics. Ordered and paid for them from a company another Rlister used but 6 weeks later still no sign of them. Who did you get your tail from and is that the 993 grill?

ps, like the license plate frame.

Hey Roger, Thanks...The Grill is from my 911SC and I purchased the DT Lid from Rennspeed.

Scott, thanks. Guess I'll need to find an SC grill. If I recall the original RS from '73 used an aluminum/silver grill so I'm thinking about painting the grill silver to carry that theme to my '96.

Great Car and pics.

Do you have any standard side shots you could post?
