Feelings on Red interior?

Here is my 96tt. Iris blue with lipstick. It sure is an eye catcher. Its stunning in person. I love bold colors on these cars. Woulden't work on a Yugo though.

I have had two 993s with red interiors (8 years of ownership and daily use); a Polar Silver/Flamenco Red cab, and and an Arctic Silver/Flamenco Red turbo. I loved them both! The only thing that I thought didn't work was the red carpet, which faded over time to a pinkish-rose color. Otherwise, I never tired of the leather color and thought that it aged very well.
IMHO, the redder, the better.
That Iris Blue/Lipstick Red turbo is just incredible. It reminds me of the Blue/Red 50's 356s and is, for my taste, even more Porsche-like than the Silver/Black standard 911 so in fashion today.

I've also seen red carpets fade to pinkish, which looks bad. Maybe these are best suited for garage queens? I think the objective of Boxster red was to have a factory patina that appears less intense than other reds, yielding a more "retro" look, but it still seems a bit too orange for me.
I think I want to get off this ride before we get to Can Can. Some of the two-tones seem to have too much black, so the Flamenco of Vee12 (red wheel) seems just about right to me.
Q: How does Flamenco differ from Lipstick?

Flamenco Red has a bit of burgundy tone to it.
Boxster Red has an orange-brown tone.
Can-Can/Lipstick are intensely shocking red (like in a Corvette).
Lobster is (?) a little orangish.
Chestnut has a brownish tone.
The new 997 red...kind of Can Can, I think.
I think they are all great. But then, I love brown interiors, too.

I LOVE red interiors!
My 928 S4 5-speed is Black with CanCan interior.
My 96 6-speed 993 C2 is Black Metallic with Flamenco Red interior.
I've had both cars nearly 20-years, and to this day people will come over and admire them while getting gas.

Wow, that red is stunning. Though it is a lot of red - just seems to be Porsche's style.

My 996 C2 w the faded, dated Boxster Red interior, slowly becoming more black. RennLine floor boards coming. Trying to decide on Lloyds or Coco Mats

I could never do a red interior. Only black for me. I would have NOT bought my '95 Polar silver if it had any color other than black interior. Just my humble personal opinion.
