I think the GTI is a better bang for the bucks than the R32. That's the reason why R32 is not selling that good nowadays. The DSG is awesome! I don't think buying the R32 is a good idea. The performances are not really impressive for the price difference. The GTI is a lot of fun!
That's just my opinion.

My good friend had an A3 with DSG. It was fun, but at normal driving it is exactly as described in RallyJon's post. Throttle seemed all over the place. Full throttle and messing around in it was fun, just not driving how you would in a daily driver.
