The tray in my car is absolutely useless. The first corner you take and everything is scattered over the back seat area.

Rhino, can you show a picture of your whole interior? I am interested in your carpeting, who did that and what is it?

Yes, but it's far better then a cassette holder in a car with not cassette player!

Do a search for this post: "My summer fall project with many pictures"

and you will see many pictures of the car including who did the work.

The cup holder works well. It is best to use the back holder so there is less chance to bump your drink while shifting. I've had no issues with drinks tipping over so I'm very please with the purchase.

My 4 yr old gets a kick in playing with these cassettes when I drive him to school. Do I have a cassette player in my car? Nope. Does the cassette holder bug me? Yep. Is it worth it to see the pleasure my son has goofing around with popping the cassette out? Absolutely!! Goofy cassette holder will stay in my car for a while!

You remove the holder unit by lifting up the little rubber liner in the back compartment (it's held on with 2 sided tape). There is a screw under there and the whole unit comes out when you remove the screw.

If you are asking how to remove the cassette unit from the holder unit - you have to wedge something in between the cassette unit and the holder at the front and back of it (not the sides). I used a thick putty knife and a chisel, but anything about 1/16th of an inch thick that fits in there will work. There are a few little tabs in there that hold it in place. Once the wedges disengage the tabs you can work the cassette unit out.

That's what I did also.

My car came with the (5) CD holder option...but it had been replaced with the single opening tray when I got the car.
